The Eye of Horus also known as The Eye of Ra, is an ancient Egyptian symbol, of protection, health, royalty, and sovereignty. The Eye was a representation of the goddess Wadjet, protector of lower Egypt, and after the unification of the two kingdoms, she became the patron of Egypt, and the eye became a symbol of royal power.
The eye of Horus symbol also represents God within everything. The triangle around the eye of Horus is a symbol of creation. The composition of the eye of Horus inside the triangle represents the cosmic unity that cannot be grasped with our six senses but exists in all of nature.
The image of the eye was actually taken from the image of a falcon’s eye. The falcon was the symbol of Horus, the god of the Sky, and the rich fertile black land. In mythology, it was said that his right eye was the Sun and his left eye was the Moon, and that they traversed the sky, when he, in the image of a falcon flew across it. According to myth, his left eye, became the pale moon, when his nemesis, the god Seth (ruler of the desert, the god of storm, disorder, and chaos) gouged his eye during one of their battles. He was healed and restored by Thoth, the god of knowledge and magic, hence, the eye became a symbol of protection, magic, and healing.
At the spiritual level, the pyramid is a symbol for the integration of self-and soul. In dreams, the pyramid can stand for death, but it also contains rebirth. The base of the pyramid stands for the body, the sides show the spiritual attempts, the point symbolizes the harmonious union of the human with the ‘higher self-‘ (God).
On a metaphysical level, for some belief systems, the Great Pyramid is a place of great spiritual significance. If the Great Pyramid was used for religious purposes – such as a temple, place of meditation, or holy monument — rather than as a tomb, then certainly its size alone would make it a place of wonder. The ancient Egyptians saw the shape of the pyramids as a method of providing new life to the dead because the pyramid represented the form of the physical body emerging from the earth and ascending towards the light of the sun.
Within man, there are two aspects. There is his real inner, divine self. There is also the body and intellect which, at his present stage of evolution, consider himself to be a separate egoist entity. However, there comes a time when man realizes that he is not the body and intellect. His real existence is a state of being; a consciousness at one with the Universal Consciousness.
Pyramids amplify and then tightly focus energy through the apex. A crystal pyramid can be used to draw off negative energy and blockage from the chakras. To gain insights about a particular blockage you can place a pyramid in the appropriate location of the physical body. For example, to understand the emotional roots of an illness you might place an aventurine pyramid on the heart area. Visualize awareness and healing flowing through the point of the pyramid and spreading throughout the heart chakra.
