Angelite, sometimes called Anhydrite, has a connection to the higher realms, which is said to facilitate angelic communication. It is a very soothing, peaceful, and uplifting gemstone that’s quite helpful during times of transition. Angelite is in a group of higher vibrational crystals that are commonly used by healers to assist in smoothing the way for vibrational shifts, awareness, and ascension.

Angelite works to clear the Throat, Third Eye, and Crown Chakras and sends energy to the Soul Star Chakra that lies 6 inches above the head. The higher vibrations sent to these chakras allow for greater spiritual growth, enhanced intuition, and clearer communication. Angelite’s ability to unblock the upper chakras clears the area to allow for the influx of higher vibrational information coming into the auric field, to be processed by the lower chakras.

Angelite is a recent discovery in the mineral and gem world. Found during the 1987 Harmonic Conversion in Peru, it is said to have been given its name from the Greek word anhydras meaning ‘without water’. This name is in reference to the fact that Angelite is truly Gypsum that has completely lost all hydration. As it is quite a soft mineral, it shouldn’t be immersed in water at any time. If it is, it may show traces of the white calcium mineral as it is rehydrated. Blue is said to be the color of the ‘present time’ or The Aquarian Age. Aquarian is one who is seen as a truth-seeker, when one seeks truth, one must also be prepared for it; which often creates fear. Because one must go forward in truth or backward in fear. Angelite will assist one in combating this particular fear.
